Cervical Smear Test – Free of Charge!

A smear test (sometimes called a pap test) can detect changes in the cells of the cervix. The earlier abnormal cell changes are found, the easier they are to treat. A smear test is a simple procedure that only takes minutes. Regardless of the age of a woman when she has her first Cervical Check smear test, she needs to have two normal smear test results - three years apart, before moving to a five year screening interval. A smear test can identify cell changes before they become cancer cells. If these cells are not found and treated, they could become cancerous.
If your age is between 25 and 60, you are very welcome to visit our clinic and to check for cervical diseases.
Preparation for the test:
Smear test cannot be taken during the period. The best time to attend for your smear test is mid-cycle - that is, between 10th and 20th day of your cycle. Don’t use any tampons, intravaginal preparations (vaginal pills, pessaries).

IMPORTANT TO KNOW!!!
Regular checking reduces the risk of being sick!

We would like to ask you to arrange time and date of your appointment, by logging into our website obgyn.ie and selecting the booking online option.

THANK YOU!
